Systems,made human.
I'm Alfredo Méndez. Every product I lead begins as a diagram of the interactions between user and system — a method I've refined over 12+ years — and ends as hardware that feels inevitable. It has carried 40+ products from strategy to manufacturing, from my own studios to Audi's Advanced Design team.
Industrial & Product Design
Twelve physical products across consumer electronics, healthcare, AR and mobility — led from strategy through manufacturable design. Expand any project for the full case study.
CGI & Rendering
Photoreal automotive and product CGI in Unreal Engine 5 and KeyShot — plus the plugins I build for Blender and Unreal, and the channel where I teach the craft. See the full visualization portfolio ↗
A designer who renders his own vision
Currently contributing to Audi's Advanced Design team in California as Industrial Designer and Visualization Specialist, I was trained as an Industrial Designer in Mexico, hold a Master's in Design and Innovation from Barcelona, and completed a postgraduate degree in design research in Portugal.
With 12+ years of professional experience, my career spans industrial design, advanced automotive visualization, digital–physical systems, and design strategy. I have founded and led my own design studios — bitShake and aendo — and at propelland I led multidisciplinary programs for global brands such as Coca-Cola and Nutresa, guiding products from strategy through proof-of-concept, CMF and Design for Manufacturing.
My work includes the leadership of multidisciplinary design teams, notably during the development of Leopark, where digital platforms, hardware products and operational systems were built under a unified design vision.
My projects have received international recognition, including 4 Red Dot Design Awards. Alongside practice, I have taught Industrial Design at leading universities in Mexico — Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).
I also build the tools I work with: plugins for Blender and Unreal Engine published on Fab, tools and assets on Gumroad, and a YouTube channel on visualization and rendering with official collaborations with KeyShot. Designing the product, building the pipeline and teaching it are the same practice to me.
